Mystic Seaport Museum is an historic preservation showcasing New England’s maritime history. The Seaport is a series of mini-museums. The Seaport village made up of actual New England buildings, staffed with costumed historians who really know their stuff!  There is a print shop, a doctors office, a rigger, a ropemaker, ship chandlery and many more buildings to visit. The Seaport is very dog-friendly. Schaffer’ Spouter’s Tavern, is a 19th-century type tavern that will welcome your pup with a bulldog-themed bowl of water as soon as you are seated. Mystic Seaport was proud to be named the most pet-friendly attraction in Connecticut in 2017 by GoPetFriendly.com. Leashed pets are welcome, but may not enter buildings, ships, or be left unattended.
